Culbaba Theatre is a registered charitable organisation based in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex. Founded by Ukrainian women now living in the UK, we are dedicated to preserving and presenting authentic Ukrainian traditional song, ritual and theatrical heritage.
Our work is guided by research, historical understanding and professional artistic leadership, ensuring that the traditions we share are presented with authenticity, context and respect.
Beyond performance, Culbaba Theatre is a community of people brought together by a shared commitment to Ukrainian culture. Our members come from different regions of Ukraine, each carrying their own cultural memories, traditions and experiences. Together, we create a space where heritage is actively lived, passed on and shared with wider audiences through performance.
